Lubna leads group to China trade exhibition
Shaikha Lubna Al Qasimi, UAE Minister of Economy, is heading a delegation of 70 young Emirati entrepreneurs to China to participate in the Canton International Trade Exhibition from April 15 to 30.
Abu Dhabi: Shaikha Lubna Al Qasimi, UAE Minister of Economy, is heading a delegation of 70 young Emirati entrepreneurs to China to participate in the Canton International Trade Exhibition from April 15 to 30.
The delegation represents the small and medium enterprise (SME) business segment, as the government is seeking to increase its support to this important category.
"The purpose of the trip is to explore the trade and business opportunities for SMEs, which are critical for the UAE's economic growth," Lubna told the reporters yesterday.
The UAE is currently engaged in negotiations with china to sign a free trade agreement (FTA) within the framework of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
