International Media Concepts Limited, a new company based in Dubai, said it has launched the region's first interactive games channel targeted at young viewers.
Dubai: International Media Concepts Limited, a new company based in Dubai, said it has launched the region's first interactive games channel targeted at young viewers.
The company's managing director Fadi Jabbour said the company expects between 400,000 and 600,000 people to use its games services in a year.
Jabbour told Gulf News the company has signed a three-year transponder lease agreement with Arabsat, the Arab world's largest satellite operator, for launching the MG TV channel.
"This is the first such channel in the region, it is a new concept," Jabbour said, adding that MG TV will focus on games that conform to the region's culture.
He said interactive games and services are popular worldwide and his company is developing and customising games based on the region's needs.
MG TV will broadcast from Jordan's media city.
Jabbour said the company will start discussions with E-vision and Showtime to have the channel included in their packages.
