Dubai: Gitex Shopper and Consumer Electronics Expo, is all set to open its doors to an eager public on Saturday, October 18, 2008.
Spread over 34,000 square metres at the Dubai Airport Expo and featuring a stunning array of technology products, exciting new launches, promotions and thrilling competitions, this year's event promises to be the most anticipated gaming and shopping bonanza in the UAE.
Gitex Shopper is an event consumers across the region look forward to as it has become synonymous with great deals and bundled offers. This year will be no different; Gitex Shopper will offer visitors exciting promotions such as the Gitex Mega Draw.
The Gitex Digital Game World a new live interactive gaming segment, is the latest addition to the Gitex Shopper format and will offer various gaming activities including tournaments, a console-based gaming area, live entertainment and interactive promotional stands from sponsors and exhibitors.
According to IDC research, IT spending in the UAE is $11.4 million in 2008. Gitex Shopper continues to grow with a 26 percent increase in space in keeping with the growing trend.
