Flavouring the data
Polish company Good Ram, a Ram manufacturer, has ushered in a different kind of flavour in the flash drive era. The Good Drive Fresh Flash drive comes in three fruity flavours: Strawberry, Orange and Lime. Although this flavour feature offers no benefits in terms of functionality, it is a rather quirky idea- but the smell does eventually fade.
But, what really sets this flash drive apart from the rest has to be its durability. The single layer 8GB chip is cased in shock resistant rubber. It's also water resistant and comes with a lifetime guarantee!
Nifty notebooks
I fell in love with the latest MSI Notebook, manufactured by Taiwanese company Micro-Star International. Just a bit bigger than the average diary and weighing in at just under 1kg, this notebook makes for the perfect notebook companion. You can kiss the days of slogging around a cumbersome laptop goodbye.
Although the MSI Notebook is not the first in the micro-innovation market, it offers a screen that is 1.1'' bigger than it's competitors and comes with a minimum 80 GB memory.
Snap happy
The latest Sanyo HD 80 Xacti offers the latest in Dual Camera technology. The functionality of this cam is amazing. For those of you not familiar with the dual camera what it basically means is that you record and take still shots simultaneously.
It features a 5x optical zoom, 8 megapixels when taking still photos, additional features include an image stabilizer as well as a face changer- essential when capturing subjects on the move.
This sleek hand held cam recorder is a definite must-have item for any tech savvy snap/video recording junkie. It's available in three bold colours- gold, black or, my personal favourite- shocking pink. Retailing at Dh2499 it is rather pricey but well worth it!
Technista?
Well, I thought I'd seen it all until I spotted the Gadget Glam girls taking to the ramp. Various models of electronic products being shown off by models was the order of the day. Cameras, laptops and mobile devices strutting their stuff appears to be the latest innovation in technological marketing.
Toshiba, HP, Canon, to name but a few, graced the Gitex runway. Digital cameras have never looked so good! With technology getting fashion forward I wonder if this means the international technology arena will soon be making way for the ultra-uber technista?
