UAE pavilion at Zaragoza expo a hit with visitors
The UAE pavilion at the ongoing Expo Zaragoza 2008 continues to catch the eyes of Spanish and international visitors who said live demonstrations and TV shows on giant screens have successfully presented a nice blend of the UAE's past and present.
Zaragoza: The UAE pavilion at the ongoing Expo Zaragoza 2008 continues to catch the eyes of Spanish and international visitors who said live demonstrations and TV shows on giant screens have successfully presented a nice blend of the UAE's past and present.
Upon viewing a documentary on the UAE, some Spanish visitors said the UAE has become a modern state in all areas and expressed their desire to visit the country "to get a first-hand experience of the huge and astonishing boom that is taking place".
French visitor Sara Kasara said, "What I saw in the UAE pavilion was astounding and changed my view of the country which I thought was backward. I know now that women in the UAE are well-educated, cultured and know very well what high taste means."
Moroccan visitor Khadeeja Bint Nes and Algerian citizen Naseera Dhaifallah expressed their admiration at the fast-paced shift of the UAE from life in the arid desert to a modern urban landscape that shows giant steps in the fields of water, renewable energy, tourism and investments.
