Qatar unveils largest ever budget for 2008-2009
Qatar has unveiled a Qr 30.6 billion (Dh 30.8 billion) budget for the new fiscal year, the largest announced by the Gulf state.
Doha: Qatar has unveiled a Qr 30.6 billion (Dh 30.8 billion) budget for the new fiscal year, the largest announced by the Gulf state.
According to the state news agency, the focus will be on reining in higher inflation while protecting infrastructure expenditure.
Revenue estimates stand at around Qr 103.3 billion (Dh 104.3 billion), up 43 percent from Qr 7.4 billion (Dh 7.5 billion) in the previous year.
