Dubai: Dodsal, an engineering, procurement and construction multinational and an infrastructure developer with its corporate headquarters in Dubai, has been awarded an approximately Dh650 million ($178 million) contract by Nakheel to execute complete infrastructure works for Contract 2 at the Jumeirah Village South III - Circle Project.

The project includes approximately 50km of asphalt road works, providing for district cooling network, power and telecommunication network including broadband, water distribution, sewage and sewerage, fire and irrigation works.

The contract duration for this project is 18 months. The project site is located between Emirates Road, Al Barsha Road and Al Khail Road. Dubai-based Limitless are employed as development manager on behalf of Nakheel. Canadian firm EllisDon are engaged as project managers for the development, with British firm Mouchel Parkman employed as the consulting engineers.

In addition, Dodsal is also executing Nakheel?s $100-million Mesoamerican project, comprising 27 multistoried residential buildings, with a total built-up area of 1.94 million square feet.

Some of the other projects being executed are: QP - Ras Laffan Common Cooling Seawater System Phase II ($1 billion), Takreer - Inter Refinery Pipeline Project ($400 million), Nakheel - Mesoamerican Project ($100 million), Rasgas - LNG project for JV of Chiyoda/Technip for construction work on the 7.8 MMTPA super LNG trains ($200 million).
