Western Union expands services in Jordan
Western Union announced on Tuesday it will be extending its services in Jordan through Jordan Post, an agent affiliated with Cairo Amman Bank.
Dubai: Western Union announced on Tuesday it will be extending its services in Jordan through Jordan Post, an agent affiliated with Cairo Amman Bank.
Jordan Post will offer the complete range of Western Union services across all its 365 branch offices.
Jean-Claude Farah, Western Union's regional vice president for Middle East, Pakistan and Afghanistan, said Jordan is an important market for Western Union and is a key component in their plans for the GCC countries.
“Jordan Post and the Cairo Amman Bank are both organisations that we can relate to in terms of values, reputation and vision, and we are sure that this is the beginning of a long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationship,'' he added.
“Extending Western Union's fast, reliable and convenient money transfer service adds a new dimension to our status as one of the country's most trusted names for money transfer'' said Ahmad Obidat, Jordan Post general manager.
