Dubai: Allied Bank has rolled out its e-Remittance services to facilitate international remittances sent to Pakistan by overseas Pakistanis.
The bank said a host of top international banks, exchange houses and fund transfer companies from across the world, including the Middle East, Eur-ope, Asia-Pacific and North America, have been activated on this modern platform.
A comprehensive suite of options is available to non-resident Pakistanis under this service, including direct credit to account, cash payment over the counter, and issuance of the Allied Express cheque, a payment instrument that can be honoured across the entire Allied Bank network of branches, it said.
Mohammad Aftab Manzoor, CEO of Allied Bank, said: "Allied Bank has historically been a significant originator of home remittances to Pakistan, and in keeping with the vision of the State Bank of Pakistan, is forging ahead with innovative and fully scalable solutions to develop and maximise its outreach to the benefit of all Pakistanis.
"We have identified several strategic partners in key overseas markets, and will provide a fully automated, end-do-end solution for non-resident Pakistanis to ensure speedy funds transfers to their families' accounts in Pakistan."
The bank said its real-time online branch network of over 760 branches in 350 cities will help in the domestic distribution of the remittances.
