Dubai: Commercial Bank International (CBI) announced on Monday the launch of its innovative raffle saving scheme, Mab-rook, a low entry product to encourage savings, in keeping with the bank's aim of having 'relationship beyond banking' with its customers.
"Our intention is to encourage the concept of saving, even if it means starting small and nurturing those savings to help our customers realise their bigger goals and aspirations," said Douwe Oppedijk, CBI's new chief executive officer.
Mohammad Dahi, product development manager for CBI, said the Mabrook account will have a low entry amount, Dh100, which will enable many people to afford saving. Mabrook will have weekly draws of Dh10,000 every week starting from June 19.
Other features of the scheme include a free accidental life insurance, free debit card, a 0.5 per cent interest per annum, joint account facility, no minimum balance, no subscription fees or processing charges and is also available for children.
