Dubai: Virgin Atlantic Airways on Sunday said it has appointed Dnata Travel as its offline general sales agent in Kuwait.
Andrew Fyfe, Virgin Atlantic's regional manager, Middle East, said: "Since launching our daily services between the UK and Dubai in March 2006 we have been contacted on a regular basis by organisations in Kuwait wishing to work with us. Following an extensive tender process we felt that Dnata Travel was a good fit for Virgin Atlantic and to be at the forefront of promoting our product within the communities of Kuwait."
Dnata Travel, Kuwait, was founded in 2004 and since that time has become one of the leading IATA travel agencies in the country. Dnata Travel currently employs more than 70 multilingual staff, and is growing its network of offices in Kuwait, which is testament to its level of professionalism and excellence.
Virgin Atlantic launched services between London Heathrow and Dubai in March 2006 and it launched a daily service from June 2006. The flights are operated with Airbus A340-600 aircraft fitted with the airline's award winning Upper Class.
Since it was founded in 1984, Virgin Atlantic Airways has become Britain's second largest long haul carrier, serving the world's major cities.
