Qatar Airways future expansion tops 200 aircraft worth $30 billion
Qatar Airways’ future fleet expansion strategy would result in the current fleet of 62 aircraft expanding to 262 in a few years, CEO Akbar Al Baker said on Wednesday.
Dubai: Qatar Airways' future fleet expansion strategy would result in the current fleet of 62 aircraft expanding to 262 in a few years, CEO Akbar Al Baker said on Wednesday.
The expansion is expected to cost the airline $30 billion.
Currently, the airline has 80 Airbus A350s and 60 Boeing 787 Dreamliners on its order book.
Qatar Airways is the biggest Middle East customer of Boeing 787.
The airline is expected to start services to three new destinations, including Gangzhou (China), Houston (US) and Kozhikode (India) in the near future.
