Jet Airways launches Mumbai-Dubai flights
The inaugural flight by Jet Airways from Mumbai landed at Dubai International Airport at 8.15pm on Saturday.
Dubai: The inaugural flight by Jet Airways from Mumbai landed at Dubai International Airport at 8.15pm on Saturday.
The aircraft was greeted by a water-gun salute.
The flight marked the arrival of the airline at its 20th international destination, and the sixth in the Gulf.
The same day also marked the arrival of Jet Airways inaugural flight from New Delhi to Dubai.
Dignitaries
Many dignitaries, including Jamal Al Hai, senior vice-president - strategy, Dubai Airports; Indian ambassador to the UAE Talmiz Ahmad; Indian Consul General Venu Rajamony, were present on the occasion. Jet Airways has scheduled daily flights between Dubai and Mumbai.
Flight 9W 543 departs from Dubai International Airport at 9.45pm and arrives at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in Mumbai at 2.15am. On the return leg, flight 9W 544 leaves Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport at 6.40pm and reaches Dubai International Airport at 8.15pm.
On the Dubai-Delhi sector, flight 9W 547 departs from Dubai International Airport at 10.55pm and arrives at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi at 3.35am. On the return leg, flight 9W 548 leaves Indira Gandhi International Airport at 6.40pm and reaches Dubai International Airport at 8.25pm.
