Gulf Jet signs $70m fleet expansion contract

Dubai: Gulf Jet, the premier executive aviation company in the region, has signed a $70 million contract with Hawker Beechcraft Corporation to acquire two new Hawker 4000s, one new Hawker 900 XP and two new Premier 1A jets, as a part of its fleet expansion programme.

The purchase contract was signed yesterday by Empire Aviation Group, Hawker Beechcraft Corporation's authorised sales representative for the UAE.

Each Hawker Beechcraft aircraft is the best in its class, designed to offer maximum luxury, travel comfort and the highest safety standards with lower operating costs.

Acquisition of the aircraft is aimed at serving an time-conscious travellers.

Hussain Al Meeza, chairman, Gulf Jet, said: "The tremendous development achieved by Dubai and the sharp growth in the number of businessmen working in the emirate has made the city a regional and international hub.
