Dubai Aiports to reinforce senior management team
Dubai Airports has announced changes to its Senior Management team which includes new appointments as well as reinforcing the responsibilities of some of its existing team members. This is being done in light of Al Maktoum International opening in June 2010 and the continued commitment to further strengthening Dubai Airports’ Leadership Team.
Dubai: Dubai Airports has announced changes to its Senior Management team which includes new appointments as well as reinforcing the responsibilities of some of its existing team members. This is being done in light of Al Maktoum International opening in June 2010 and the continued commitment to further strengthening Dubai Airports' Leadership Team.
Amer Kazem joins Dubai Airports as Senior Vice President, Group Services. He joins from Meeras Holding, where he was Group Chief Financial Officer, following 8 years with Emirates, most recently as Senior Vice President, Finance. Earlier in Amer's career he was with Ernst & Young and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
Amer will assume responsibilities for Finance, IT, Procurement functions. Internal Audit will also have a line report to Amer. Two new functions will be established under the Group Services Department – Risk Management & Legal, and a new Assurance department which will assume responsibility for all internal quality and standards issues
Jamal Al Hai continues to lead the Strategy and Marketing Communications Teams as Senior Vice President, Strategy & Development. He now assumes the additional responsibility for the Solutions team which will cover all activities connected with the development of both Dubai World Central and Dubai International. Al Hai will also continue to manage the relationship with the Engineering Projects team and will chair the newly formed Service Development Group, responsible for the transformation of customer services activities.
Chris Garton is now Senior Vice President, Operations and he assumes the responsibility for Operations teams comprising of Terminal Operations, Airside Operations and Engineering for both Dubai International and Dubai World Central.
