BA unveils 4th daily London service
British Airways, the British flagship carrier, will add a fourth daily service, operating five days a week, on its Dubai-London Heathrow route from January 2.
Dubai: British Airways, the British flagship carrier, will add a fourth daily service, operating five days a week, on its Dubai-London Heathrow route from January 2.
The five additional weekly services - to be operated with a four-class British Airways Boeing 777 - will increase the airline's flights between the emirate and Britain's principal airport, British Airways' £4.3-billion (Dh28.8 billion) Terminal 5 home at London Heathrow, to 26 per week.
To celebrate the fourth flight, British Airways has reduced its Club World (business class) Dubai-London return fares to Dh6,550, including taxes, fees and surcharges.
The lowest premium cabin fare on offer between the two hubs, British Airways' Club World offer is valid on all bookings made during the November 15-30 promotion period.
"We are adding a fourth daily Dubai-London flight, five days a week, from January due to the popularity of our existing three daily services," said Paul Starrs, British Airways Commercial manager, Middle East.
"In a year in which commercial aviation has probably faced the harshest trading environment, we have nearly doubled our Dubai-London services in the last two months alone: I think that speaks volumes about how important the Dubai and wider Middle East market is to British Airways.
"The popularity of the UK, Europe and North America over the holiday season and in the New Year should ensure these special sale fares sell out very quickly," added Starrs.
