Air Arabia launches Moroccan unit
Sharjah-based budget carrier Air Arabia said it launched Air Arabia Maroc - Morocco's new low-cost carrier - at the Mohammad V Airport in Casablanca on Wednesday.

- Officials from Morocco and the UAE attended the launch of Sharjah-based budget carrier Air Arabia's new subsidiary, Air Arabia Maroc.
Dubai: Sharjah-based budget carrier Air Arabia said it launched Air Arabia Maroc - Morocco's new low-cost carrier - at the Mohammad V Airport in Casablanca on Wednesday.
The event was attended by Karim Gellab, Morocco's Minister of Equipment and Transport along with Shaikh Abdullah Bin Mohammad Al Thani, chairman of Air Arabia. Also in attendance were Mohammad Hassan Bensalah, chairman of Air Arabia Maroc and other dignitaries.
Air Arabia Maroc will start operations on May 6 with the inaugural flight to Stansted Airport in London, followed by selected destinations across Europe and North Africa.
