- Toyota Motor's auto shipments to Iran sharply declined to about 250 Land Cruiser four-wheel-drive and other vehicles in 2009, from 4,000 units in 2008.
Dubai: After Toyota Motor Co's announcement on Friday to again recall thousand of its cars worldwide, the distributor in the UAE, Al Futtaim Motors, said it is preparing a statement regarding the issue "for the coming days."
"This happened just now, and Al Futtaim is examining the situation," an Al Futtaim spokesman told Gulf News. "A release will come in the next days."
Toyota said it will recall about 400,000 Avalon sedans and 80,000 Land Cruiser sport-utility vehicles globally to repair steering parts that may be defective.
