Akshay Kumar says his chemistry with the dog in the upcoming movie It’s Entertainment was better than anyone else in the cast.

“Dogs can be your best friends, but you can’t compare them with human beings. You get to learn a lot if you have pets. Once we finished shooting, it was difficult for all of us as we all missed the dog in the film,” Kumar said on Monday at the trailer launch of the film.

“More than me, the audience will go gaga over the dog in the film. My chemistry with the dog is better than anyone else. It was so much fun,” added the 46-year-old.

Directed by writer duo Sajid-Farhad, It’s Entertainment (Entertainment is the name of the canine protagonist) also features Tamannaah Bhatia.

But it was not easy to work with the dog, said Kumar. “You have to understand their mood completely. We had four to five dogs on the sets and we used to finish our shoot first, then we used to take their shots,” said Kumar.

Farhad said his team strictly followed animal welfare guidelines.

“We have shot the film keeping the guidelines in mind. We have used VFX, and graphics for a few scenes. Thanks to the new technology, this would not have been possible 10 years back,” he said.

The trailer was unveiled by Bharatiya Janata Party leader and animal rights activist Maneka Gandhi.

“When family keeps dogs, the scientific research says, the child in that house becomes 15 percent smarter at a young age. Next time I would prefer if you all use Indian dogs as they are much smarter,” she said.
