- Linkin Park have confirmed they will perform at the Yasalam after-race concerts at this year's Abu Dhabi Formula 1
Linkin Park are the latest band set to perform at the Yasalam after-race concerts during this year's Abu Dhabi Formula 1.
The Californian band will perform on September 13 at a concert exclusively for Formula 1 race-day ticket holders, confirmed event organisers Flash yesterday.
The band's lead vocalist, Chester Bennington, says the concert will be a chance for fans to hear music from their upcoming album, A Thousand Suns.
"We're looking forward to playing at the 2010 Formula 1 Etihad Airways Dhabi Grand Prix after-race concert this year," he said. "We can't wait to share our new music for our fans in Abu Dhabi."
"The Flash team cannot wait to welcome Linkin Park to Yasalam 2010, the annual Formula 1 celebration programme in Abu Dhabi. Following the rock legacy of Aerosmith last year, Linkin Park will blow audiences away at the Yasalam After-Race concerts on Yas Island this year," John Lickrish, Managing Director, FlashEntertainment, added.
tabloid! exclusively broke the news that American R&B star Kelis would be part of the line up at the sport event's concert series.
