Let Eve blow your mind
Rapper Eve makes is set to make a debut Middle East gig at Chi the Lodge on Tuesday night
Juggling appearances in Hollywood blockbusters, life as a fashion designer and her "old love", music, it is no surprise rapper Eve was pushed for time in Dubai Monday.
"I believe in human respect," the 31-year-old told tabloid! ahead of her debut Middle East gig at Chi Tuesday night. "I'm still scared of my mother and she would be deeply upset if she found out I hadn't made time for people, or had disrespected anyone. These people are my fans and I'm so excited to be here."
A singer from an early age, Eve hit the jackpot when she picked up a Grammy for Let Me Blow Ya Mind, featuring Gwen Stefani. Global fame was not far behind, with the singer recently scooping high-profile roles in Drew Barrymore's directorial debut, Whip It!, as well as comedian Chris Rock's documentary Good Hair, both of which premiere in the Middle East at the Dubai International Film Festival next month.
Her latest album shelved due to "issues" with her former record label, Eve, brought to Dubai by King Group Entertainment and AHAS Productions, says fans are in for "treat" tonight. Tickets, priced Dh100 and Dh150 for VIP, are available on the door or at all Virgin Megastores.
