The names of the artists performing at the Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix are always a closely-guarded secret.
But one to look out for could be Kelis, after an industry source revealed to tabloid! that a deal had been signed between her management and the organisers of the F1.
The Acapella singer is set to hit the free stage at the Abu Dhabi Corniche on November 13 the night before the big race at Yas Marina Circuit as the headline act.
"She has been keen to come to Dubai for months but Abu Dhabi seemed the better option with the F1 celebrations," said the source. "I'm sure it will be a great gig. The deal is signed and sealed and it's very exciting."
In response to tabloid!s request for comment, organisers Flash said, "We do not respond to speculation or rumour."
If this year's entertainment programme is the same as last year's, the concerts staged along the newly-landscaped Corniche are free to the public.
Booked by a talent agency in London for the event, the singer was also said to be keen to play in Dubai either before or after the F1 gig, but was still looking for a venue.
What a difference a year makes. Last summer quirky R&B songstress Kelis was pregnant, involved in a nasty public divorce with Nas and without a record label. This year it's a new team, fresh album and chart-topping singles.
