He spins for the stars in the heart of the Paris fashion district and now he's coming to Dubai to do the same.

Taking to the decks at Dubai's exclusive Desert Palm Resort, French house DJ Stephane Pompougnac says he is looking forward to his set in the UAE Friday night.

Resident DJ at Parisian Hotel Costes, renowned for welcoming the celebrities each night, the 41-year-old has played at some of the biggest parties the world has ever seen. "I've played at some unique venues but the best parties were usually at Cannes," he said.

"One year I played at the Indiana Jones party — Spielberg, Lucas and Harrison Ford all together, it was a childhood dream come true.

"The celebs are there but it's difficult to meet them when I'm spinning but my best moment is with Michael Stippe from REM who did a song with me on my first album.

"I have celeb numbers on my cell phone but I couldn't possibly tell you who."

The Parisian DJ, who has also provided music for fashion shows including Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent, will play chilled-out sundown tunes from 4.30pm to 11pm. For more information call 04-323 8888.
