- Basement Jaxx performed at Chi on Thursday.
While many passengers are spending their days sitting around the airport waiting for non-existent flights, the two members of Basement Jaxx – stuck here since their concert at Chi last Thursday – are making the most of the unexpected stay.
According to a source, Felix Buxton and his girlfriend have been deep-sea fishing, played golf and have been to the Royal Mirage hotel. “They’re making the most of the delay after a 60-day tour, Dubai being the last stop.”
But the other half of Jaxx, Simon Ratcliffe, is apparently not quite enjoying the hold-up. “He’s really homesick,” said the source.
The duo are still hoping to get out of the UAE soon as they have a concert date in Chicago on April 23.
