When Hollywood heartthrob Tom Cruise is not abseiling off Burj Khalifa for his latest film, Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol, he's indulging in some adrenaline-charged go-kart racing during a break in filming.

According to a report in the New York Post, the speed-junkie star booked the Dubai Karttdrome for an entire day for as many as 75 people and raced against his cast and crew including co-stars Jeremy Renner and Simon Pegg.

And, his name for the day? Cole Trickle — the name of his character in car racing film Days Of Thunder.

The fun didn't stop here. To round off, Cruise also ordered in food from Fatburger for all his mates.

The filming of MI4 is carrying on full steam, with shooting planned in Meydan and Satwa in the coming days. Meanwhile, Bollywood choreographer Shiamak Davar has also been working on the film for the past week
