The plot: Leo Tolstoy's iconic novel has been brought to the big screen once again, but this time with a British cast in the classic romance’s lead roles. Keira Knightley has stepped into the bejewelled shoes of Anna Karenina, a stunning but unhappy young woman in high society, 19thcentury tsarist Russia, miserable in her marriage to a senior statesman, Karenin (Law), who happens to be 20 years her senior. When Anna meets charismatic cavalry officer (Taylor-Johnson), the pair quickly begin a dramatic affair, which becomes the talk of an entire nation. Very soon after the affair begins Anna is thrown into the spotlight and everything changes, forcing her to question her happiness, marriage and family views, and most importantly, her capacity for love.
