Battle for Haditha director Nick Broomfield was joined by cast members Yasmine Hanani, Elliot Ruiz and Eric Mehalacopoulos on the red carpet before the Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF) screening of his film at the Madinat Theatre. The film is a fictionalised account of true-life incidents in war-torn Iraq.
Yasmine, in black Gucci, said: "I am so excited to be here tonight. This film and the topic it covers are so important and I hope people enjoy it."
'Apprehensive'
Broomfield added: "I am excited but slightly apprehensive about how this movie will be received in the Middle East. It will be interesting to see."
The documentary-style film follows three groups of people as Marines prepare to massacre a group of Iraqi civilians and insurgents prepare to attack the Marines.
