What Miss Piggy wore to the Oscars
There was only room for one incredibly stylish Muppet on the Oscars' red carpet
Since the December release of The Muppets, in which she plays the Plus Size Editor -in-Chief of French Vogue, Miss Piggy has been busy flaunting her style credentials, and her appearance at the 2012 Oscars did nothing but cement her position as a fully fledged fashionista.
The stylish Muppet wore a bespoke gown by Zac Posen, and when she was asked about her Academy Awards style, said, “Moi is wearing a trés fabulous dress designed especially for moi by Zac. It’s a magnificent creation, just like moi.”
But her show-stealing look didn’t stop with a custom gown, Miss Piggy also accessorised her look with a pair of Louboutins and some jaw-dropping diamonds courtesy of jeweller to the stars, Fred Leighton, including an antique 1940s 70-carat amethyst and diamond ring, and a 1950s 55-carat diamond and platinum necklace with a matching 40-carat bracelet.
And as if that wasn’t enough Miss P had her hair styled by none other than Beyonce’s stylist, Kim Kimble, who topped her ‘do off with a 10-carat diamond clip, phew!
Miss Piggy arrived at the Oscars with her date, Kermit the Frog, who was looking very dapper indeed in a Brooks Brothers tuxedo.
