“Nargis suited the role and I can assure you that she is going to surprise everybody with ‘Madras Cafe’. She is playing a journalist in the film,” Sircar said.
The film was earlier titled ‘Jaffna’.
Fakhri will be seen opposite John Abraham in the movie.
An unusual pairing indeed. No?
“I can’t reveal the story, but it was the demand of the script. You will get to know once you see the film. I hope the audiences like this pairing,” said Sircar, known for films like ‘Yahaan’ and ‘Vicky Donor’.
The first schedule of ‘Madras Cafe’ is over. It has been shot extensively in south India. The second schedule will commence from March and will be shot in Mumbai, south India and abroad.
Sircar says the team has plans to ask southern superstar Mohanlal to play a particular role in ‘Madras Cafe’.
“We are in talks with him. There is a very important role in the film for which we need Mohanlal. Now let us see how things fall in place. Nothing has been finalised right now,” he added.
