Michael Jackson has bequeathed his children more than $33 million (Dh121 million) each — but left his siblings nothing.
The money which he left for Prince, 13, Paris, 12, and eight-year-old Blanket will be given to them when they are 30, the Daily Mail reported. It is expected to go up to $300 million (Dh1.1 billion) by then, through interest, commercial ventures and, eventually, the passing of Jackson's mother and the children's legal guardian, Katherine.
Jackson left his mother $99 million (Dh363 million), while his father, sisters and brothers walked away empty-handed. The singer always had a rocky relationship with his father, and sources said that Jackson had a fall-out with his brothers as well, but still found it "unbelievable" that he didn't include them in his will, given his generous personality.
His ex-wives, Debbie Rowe and Lisa Marie Presley, were also excluded from the 23-page document.
A source has told the News of the World: "Michael's mother and his children were the dearest thing to him in his life, so he made sure that they would benefit when he died. In truth, those children will never have to want for anything — and that's what Michael wished for."
