Kanye West introduces Kim Kardashian to grandfather
Williams Sr says marriages don’t last long these days
Williams Sr, 97, was impressed by Kardashian and liked her humble behaviour, thesun.co.uk quoted him as saying.
“She’s beautiful and just as sweet as she is beautiful — and that’s what I like. She was down-to-earth, she’s rich and those kind of people have got everything,” said Williams Sr.
“Kanye never calls me and tells me he’s coming, he just turns up. They stayed here, talking to me. They stayed about four or five hours. We had a lot of fun laughing and talking,” he added.
However, Williams Sr, who was married for 72 years before his wife Lucille passed away five years ago, says marriages don’t last long these days.
“I’ve never met anyone who was married as long as me. I don’t do weddings. I don’t like weddings. I’ve never seen one make it. You spend a lot of money, then in weeks you’re separated," he said.
Kardashian and West have been dating for almost a year and are expecting their first child together.
