Bollywood siren exchanges vows with Raj Kundra at a lavish ceremony

The much-anticipated wedding of Bollywood siren Shilpa Shetty went off without a hitch in traditional South Indian style on Sunday.
Shorn off any Bollywood glitz and glamour, Shetty tied the knot with the UK-based billionaire Raj Kundra in the presence of her close family members in a traditional manner.
Ceremonies preceding the wedding such as the Sangeet and the Mehendi were a fun-filled affair. A performance by Punjabi pop idol Daler Mehendi and a skit led by Shetty's younger sister Shamita and budding actor Jackky Bhagnani were high points of the evening.
Shetty wore a resplendent creation designed by couture king Tarun Tahiliani. The excited bride and former Celebrity Big Brother winner was at her chatty best on her blog.
"I'm so sorry for not blogging as my life has been turned upside down, inside out in the past week as the marriage is nearing, so hope you understand. All is in order, friends and family have got together to put up a very sweet skit… a lot of surprises, effort, excitement and above all just the sheer pleasure of seeing everyone do it from their heart."
According to Shetty's spokesperson, the Bollywood brigade are expected to turn up in full force at the reception in Mumbai tonight.
