His take on being part of an unconventional but highly creative field called DJing: I agree that DJs don't command the same respect as say a doctor or an engineer, but when you have a dancefloor filled with people swaying to your beats, the feeling is out of this world.
He is currently working on: A new track called Tere Saath from the movie Jaan Baaz and he has also collaborated with Sona Family for a track titled Thaali Bajao.
His role models: Bob Sinclair; Bally Sagoo and Rishi Rich.
His most memorable gig: The one with Rishi Rich Project and Atif Aslam in Dubai. Though Rishi Rich was super cool, it took some time to break the ice with Aslam. But by the end of the show, we all had a blast.
I love Dubai for its: People. They are the best audience a DJ could ask for. They know their music.
My mantra to stave off crash-and-burn: I DJ only once a week on Thursdays. So crashing and burning is not a reality for me.
The one thing I love/hate about DJing: The late nights can be a bit taxing but having a group of people dancing to your tunes is the most unadulterated high ever.
About the DJ: A graduate in computer engineering, DJ Shadow turned down an offer to tinker with computers and decided to transform his hobby and passion of mixing tunes into his career. He swears by desi music and Dubai in equal measure.
