Filipino singing sensation Charice Pempengco says she has no plans to go back to the hit television series Glee. Fans of the singer, who appeared in five episodes of the show's second season, have been eagerly awaiting her return as exchange student Sunshine Corazon.

"My part was never regular and I have no plans of going back," Charice told tabloid! in an exclusive interview. The singer, who is popularly known by the mononym, is scheduled to return to Dubai for her second performance on March 2.

Ryan Murphy, the creator of Glee, has been famously quoted saying of her: "When that girl opens her mouth, angels fly out." Although he promised "lots of big, big, big ballads for Charice" on the show, the singer's appearances have been reduced to intermittent scenes and performances.

Last year, the New York Post reported that Charice's role was later cut short to avoid upsetting lead star Lea Michele. "Things changed. The word is, Lea is the big star, and producers want to keep her happy," the US daily quoted a source as saying.

A Glee spokesman told the same newspaper the claim was "categorically untrue".

"I am looking forward to trying the food, shopping and taking in the city," Charice said of her impending trip to the UAE.
