The truth, finally?
Fairuz has been the subject of many rumours, following the recent announcement she is to perform two concerts in Beirut.
The Lebanese diva's return after a two-year absence comes amid legal problems with the relatives of her late husband, Assi Al Rahbani, who filed a lawsuit to prevent the singer from performing the plays written and composed by Assi and his brother, Mansour Al Rahbani, as they were partners in the copyright of these works.
As soon as the concert tickets went on sale recently, there was news that the tickets were sold out and that there would be a third concert.
Later on, there was a vicious rumour that Fairuz had died in a car accident, which prompted Fairuz's daughter and manager Rima Al Rahbani to deny all these stories on her Facebook fan page.
Rima stressed that Fairuz was fine and would be performing today and tomorrow.
She also confirmed that there would not be a third concert.
Ajram gets angry over new song
Nancy Ajram was furious after it turned out that a composer she approached for a track had sold her a song which another singer had performed earlier.
Mohammad Rahim, the Egyptian composer of the song, revealed that singer Shireen Wajdi had indeed performed the song titled Ayni Alaik (My Eyes On You) but she had never paid for it, which prompted him to give it to Nancy, who is now the legal owner.
