Washington: A CIA air strike in Pakistan has killed wanted Al Qaida terrorist Abu Laith Al Libi, US officials said.

The senior Al Qaida leader, who plotted attacks against coalition troops, was killed by a missile from an airplane, officials said. Islamist websites announced his death.

Al Libi was on the United States’ most wanted list of 12 terrorists, after Osama Bin Laden and his deputy Ayman Al Zawahiri. Al Libi had a $200,000 bounty on his head.
