Abu Dhabi: A German national reunited with his brother after 20 years in Al Ain, with the help of police, Abu Dhabi Police said on Friday.

Brigadier-General Musallam Mohammad Salem Al Amiri of Al Ain Police, said Falaj Hazza police station received a call from a visitor named Kamal Eisa Khalil, an Arab with German nationality, asking for help in searching for his brother Kamil Eisa Khalil, who hadn’t been in contact with him for more than 20 years.

Kamal told the police that he had lost his brother’s address and telephone numbers and only knew that he lived in the Al Ain region in the UAE.

Lt-Colonel Mubarak Rashid Al Katbi, director of Falaj Hazza police station, said during the search for Kamil, they came across his daughter’s phone number. They were able to trace her father, Kamil, who was working as a teacher in the Ministry of Education.

Kamil expressed his deep appreciation and thanked the police for their humanitarianism in responding to his request and reuniting him with his brother.
