Ajman: A new charity project inaugurated in Ajman will support Ajman University students who are in need of financial aid, it was announced.

Shaikh Rashid Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Ajman Municipality and Planning Department and Vice-Chairman of Board of Directors of Ajman University, officially inaugurated the Ajman University Building project on Thursday.

Undertaken by the Thamer Fund for Educational Solidarity, the project will offer all rental proceeds from 26 residential units and four commercial units of the building, to students in need of financial aid, encouraging them to complete their higher education.

The building stands on 2,600 square metres in the AL Jurf of Ajman. Students from the University will be able to apply for financial aid online.

His Highness Shaikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, has also generously allocated a second piece of land to support Thamer fund further, it was announced

“Students at Ajman University have always been at the core of any strategic decisions we as an institution have undertaken. This building marks a milestone in our future plans, as we are fully aligned in investing in our students from all walks of life. Our funding initiatives will enable them to excel in their respective academic programmes and future careers,” said Dr Karim Seghir, Ajman University Chancellor.

Thamer Salman Fund is a trust established to promote the concept of educational solidarity and supporting the student community. The fund caters to students who face hurdles during their educational tenure and are unable to continue their education because of financial dues, this fund eases their way to their career.
