Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi Systems and Information Centre (ADSIC), the government entity in charge of Abu Dhabi’s Information and Communications Technology (ICT) agenda and operational framework, organised an interactive workshop for 21 of its strategic partners from Abu Dhabi’s government entities. Held at the Eastern Mangroves Hotel and Spa on 27 September 2016, the workshop precedes Abu Dhabi e-Government’s preparations to participate in GITEX Technology Week for the fifth consecutive year.

As an open-dialogue platform for all partners to ensure the achievement of the desired goals while focusing on the digital transformation Abu Dhabi is witnessing, the comprehensive workshop tackled the planning, logistics, media campaign and marketing aspects of the participation process related to this international ICT event under the theme of “Abu Dhabi’s Journey: Towards Digital Transformation”.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of launching the Abu Dhabi e-Government’s activities, and GITEX 2016 will be the ideal event to highlight the e-Government’s growth, developments and accomplishments over the past decade.

As Abu Dhabi’s wide range of digital services and solutions witness remarkable year-on-year growth, the 21 Government entities participating in GITEX 2016 will showcase the latest innovations, systems, smart applications, tools and others digital platforms that contribute to promoting the efficiency of government services, while providing the public with increased access to these services. In this context, Abu Dhabi’s e-Government has made momentous strides towards consolidating the application of ICT to create modern, fast and highly efficient digital solutions for the emirate’s comprehensive growth on the social and economic levels.

“By taking part in internationally renowned ICT events such as GITEX 2016, Abu Dhabi’s e-Government seeks to accentuate its efforts to establish an active, integrated and innovative system in the field of smart government performance that helps in building a mature, sustainable digital base and reflects Abu Dhabi’s overall advancement across all fields,” said Saeed Mohammad Al Mansoori, Executive Director of Shared Government Services at ADSIC.

The exiting and highly anticipated services and products that the Abu Dhabi e-Government will launch at GITEX 2016 include a number of pioneering solutions, platforms, websites and interactive applications by Abu Dhabi Police, Family Development Foundation, Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange, Abu Dhabi Ports Company, The Statistics Centre − Abu Dhabi (SCAD); Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC) and Health Authority- Abu Dhabi.

Equipped with state-of-the-art software, interactive areas and other modern technologies, the 1620-square meter pavilion of Abu Dhabi’s e-Government at GITEX 2016 is expected to attract a wide range of local, regional and international delegations and visitors who are keen on exploring Abu Dhabi’s innovative and diverse digital services.
