One of the major accidents that affected traffic on Sunday morning was reportedly along the exit ramp from E77 to Shaikh Zayed Road, which took place near the UAE Exchange metro station at around 7.20am.
Traffic was further aggravated in Dubai as another accident was reported near Al Barsha area, next to the Jebel Ali Race Course.
The highways were not spared either, as an accident also took place at the intersection of Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed (MBZ) Road, close to the interchange on Airport Road.
Heavy congestion could also be seen in the direction towards Deira, due to an accident that occurred at Al Rebat Street, which caused a heavy backlog of traffic up to MBZ Road.
