Abu Dhabi: The Abu Dhabi Occupational Safety and Health Centre (OSHAD) celebrated on Sunday Emirati Women’s Day, which falls on August 28 of each year.
Dr Jaber Eidha Al Jabri, director-general of OSHAD, said that marking August 28 as Emirati Women’s Day comes in recognition of their effective role and contribution and to honour them for what they have done for the UAE’s development.
The celebrations come in line with the directives of Her Highness Shaikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, Chairperson of the General Women’s Union, Supreme Chairperson of the Family Development Foundation and Chairwoman of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, to celebrate Emirati Women’s Day under the slogan ‘Women and Innovation’, Al Jabri added
