TEMPORARY SALES COORDINATOR

Gulf News Broadcasting, is looking for a temporary Sales Coordinator. Starting on December 25th 2014 until 31st January 2015, you will be working to support the Abu Dhabi Sales Team.

Main responsibilities will include:

Welcome visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone: answering or referring inquiries

Maintain safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, rules and regulations

Handling winner prizes by calling and ensure all procedures are followed

Responsibility to update the planners ( sponsorship, competitions and DJ ads)

Ensure that all documentation for each campaign is completely correctly and in full, this includes all briefing forms, contracts, production forms. Also ensure that all relevant parties are briefed in full prior to the campaign going on air

Collect audio samples when requested for clients

The successful candidate will be highly organized with previous office experience, have good Microsoft knowledge  and be able to handle changing priorities whilst using their own initiative to get results.

ACCOUNT MANAGER – CONTRACT PUBLISHING

With a proven ability to listen to a customer’s needs and to lead the production of world-class creative solutions in conjunction with and editor and art editor on different platforms from print to digital you will also be adept at managing your own P&L to ensure profitability and divisional growth reporting into the Head of NPD & Business Development.

PICTURE RESEARCHER

Gulf News publishing is looking for an experienced Picture Researcher to join its Picture desk Team.

You will work across some of the UAE’s largest and most exciting titles, including Friday (the UAE’s most widely read magazine), Aquarius (our innovative monthly women’s lifestyle) alpha (a stylish urban men’s monthly), contract publishing titles and varied supplements.

Working closely with the Picture Editor and reporting directly to the Senior Picture Editor you will also work alongside the staff photographers and be part of a team of 7 to make up the picture desk. You will be responsible for the picture research of all the magazine titles, brand extensions and any new projects as well as co-ordinate the staff photographer’s schedules and be able to handle invoicing from agencies and freelance photographers.

You should have at least 1 years’ experience on a picture desk within a media environment and have picture agency contacts. You will be super organized, motivated, have good communication skills, be an excellent team player and able to think on your feet to solve any challenges that may arise within a picture desk on the floor of a busy and large publishing house.
