Hunt is on for funniest Arab comedian

Got a funny bone you want to pick? If you’re Arab and live in the Middle East, you can make some money while you’re at it. Chocolate brand Kit Kat Arabia has launched a competition, Kit Kat Comedy Break, to hunt for the funniest Arab comedian.

If you’re an aspiring comedian, all you have to do is upload your routine to kitkatcomedybreak.com. Your entry will be evaluated by four regional comedians with the first prize winner walking off with a $15,000 (Dh55,081)cash prize, $10,000 for the second prize and $5,000 for the third.

Judges include comedians Tony Abou Jaoude, Ali Al Sayed, Shaima Al Sayed and Fahad Al Butairi and entry is open to Arab residents of the GCC states and Egypt, Jordan, Yemen, Iraq, Lebanon, Palestine. Videos should be no longer than three minutes and will be judged on originality, delivery and public vote.
