Hindi play Taj Mahal Ka Tender - a witty look at India's bureaucratic and political machinery - will be staged in Dubai this week.

Directed by Salim Arif, Taj Mahal Ka Tender is an interesting portrayal of the present political and bureaucratic setup in India.

It explores what would happen if Shah Jahan - the Mughal emperor who built the Taj Mahal - gave orders to construct the Taj Mahal in today's day and age.

India's bureaucratic machinery, along with its infamous red tape launches into action and takes the emperor on a roller-coaster ride.

Taj Mahal Ka Tender has been successfully performed in cities across India and overseas. It stars Rakesh Bedi, Avtar Gill, Javed Khan Bharat Kapoor, Pramod Dubey, Omprakash among others.

The event is sponsored by ICICI Wealth Management.
