'Studies are my main priority'
TV host and athlete Chris Tiu's popularity is growing by leaps and bounds after his team, the Ateneo Blue Eagles, won the premiere collegiate basketball league championship in the Philippines.
Talks are ripe that he might be doing a primetime series with the Kapuso network, but Tiu was quick to dismiss the rumours.
"Studies are still my main priority, and I don't see myself staying in the studio and taping for long hours for a series. I am happy hosting Pinoy Records and Ripley. But I am not closing doors on any opportunity. I just can't do it at the moment."
A boost for Velasquez
Regine Velasquez's Ako si Kim Sam Soon has improved is rankings in its last week, climbing up to second place twice last week based on AGB Nielsen's survey in Mega Manila.
The series, one of the most talked about on primetime TV, has given Velasquez's TV career a big boost after the not-so-inspiring run of her Songbird programme.
Sultry at forty
Jean Garcia is the talk of the town after her sexy cover appearance on the latest issue of Philippines' FHM magazine. Still hot as ever, the 40 plus star can give many younger stars a run for their money.
Asked about her half-naked photos, she said, "I have no regrets. I am showing the world I can have fun at this age. I have a great career and a fantastic daughter. I can't please everybody but the reviews have generally been very positive."
When asked whether she would consider posing in the magazine with her teenage daughter Jennica, she said, "Why not? But it has to be done tastefully." There's one hot mama for you.
