Indian university sets up RAK branch
The India-based University of Pune has launched full-fledged academic activities at its UAE campus based in Ras Al Khaimah. The inaugural lecture was delivered to the first group of executive MBA and MBA students last week.
The India-based University of Pune has launched full-fledged academic activities at its UAE campus based in Ras Al Khaimah. The inaugural lecture was delivered to the first group of executive MBA and MBA students last week.
The Executive MBA and MBA are two-year courses designed for working executives. A first special batch began the course this month with classes being held only on Fridays. There are currently 15 students in the batch.
"With this great beginning, the stage is now set to launch a full-fledged academic programme in RAK from the ensuing academic year beginning September 2009," said vice-chancellor Dr Narendra Jadhav in a speech delivered on the occasion.
He added that senior professors of the university will be based in Ras Al Khaimah on rotation to offer academic support to students.
