Abu Dhabi: Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, visited the Family Development Foundation (FDF) pavilion at the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair.

During his visit, Shaikh Abdullah was briefed on the services provided by the foundation through its centres, which serve all segments of society in the Eastern, Western and Central Regions of the emirate of Abu Dhabi.

He was received by Mariam Mohammad Al Rumaithi, Director-General of FDF, along with other officials.

Shaikh Abdullah was also briefed about Al Dhaher Centre in Al Ain, FDF’s newest centre. He expressed his satisfaction with the services and programmes offered to the public within the framework of enhancing the role of the family and supporting stability in society through providing solutions for family issues.

He also viewed the Family Consultation Service, called ‘Shawer’ or ‘Consult’, which is implemented by FDF throughout the year, and addresses family issues as well as offers appropriate solutions to enable participants to overcome difficulties in the psychological, health, legal, economic, awareness and nutritional fields.

Mariam said that FDF’s participation at the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair this year is important as this edition honours Shaikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, a great personality and the UAE’s founding father. She added that participation in the event also reflects the importance of culture to the family.
