Dubai: Motorists in Dubai will benefit from six days of free parking on the occasion of Eid Al Adha, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced on Wednesday.

All public car parks will be free, except for multi-level parking terminals, from Sunday August 19 to Friday August 24. Parking tariffs will resume on Saturday August 25, 2018.

The Department of Transport in Abu Dhabi also confirmed that free parking will be available until August 24. Parking tariffs will resume on August 25 at 8am.

Motorists were warned not to park their vehicles in prohibited areas or disrupt traffic flow. 

During the Eid Al Adha holiday, a number of RTA services in Dubai, in addition to timings of public buses, metros and trams will change.

The Customers’ Happiness Centres will be closed from Sunday August 19 up to Thursday August 23, and will reopen on Sunday August 26.

The Dubai Metro Station’s Red Line will operate from August 20 - 23, from 5am to 2am (of the following day) and on August 24 from 10am to 2am (of the following day). On Saturday August 25, the service will run from 5am to 2am (of the following day).

The Dubai Metro Station’s Green Line will run from August 20 - 23 from 5.30am to 2am (of the following day) and on August 24 from 10am to 2am (of the following day). On Saturday August 25, the service will be running from 5.30am to 2am (of the following day).

The Dubai Tram will operate from Saturday to Thursday from 6am to 1am (of the following day), and on Friday from 9am to 1am (of the following day).

Stations of Metro Link Bus Stations, such as Al Rashidiya, Mall of the Emirates, Ibn Battuta, Burj Khalifa-Dubai Mall, Abu Hail and Etisalat, will open from 5am to 2.10am (of the following day). The timing of all metro feeder buses is synchronised with the timings of the metro service.
