Sharjah: Three men have been arrested by Sharjah and Ajman Police for stealing Dh200,000 from a car.

Sharjah Police said they received a report from a person who said someone had stolen money from his vehicle and damaged it using a sharp object in front of a company in the Sharjah Industrial Area.

The men — all believed to be from Africa — had followed the complainant from a bank in Ajman, all the way to the company in Sharjah.

A team from Sharjah and Ajman Police was able to identify the suspects by the way the crime was carried out and the men were tracked down and arrested.

Sharjah Police urged the public to be careful when leaving banks with large amounts of money. They also warned against parking cars in isolated sandy areas with poor lighting and to ensure that cars are locked.

The suspects have been transferred to the public prosecutor.
