Dubai: A total of 19 new judges were sworn in before His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, at Zabeel Palace.

Shaikh Maktoum Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, was present.

The judges swore to be impartial and dedicated in their duties, and to ensure the rule of law and uphold the noble principles of the judiciary.

Shaikh Mohammad instructed the new judges to be honest, just and impartial, reminding them that no one is above the law, and that all people are equal before it. “There is no difference between Arab or foreign people, or rich or poor,” Shaikh Mohammad said.

Shaikh Mohammad instructed the director of Dubai courts and relevant officials and judges to speed up the process of looking into cases and disputes, and to facilitate judicial procedures without delay and to minimise bureaucracy that may harm people’s interests and rights.

He wished the judges all success in the discharge of their duties.

Taresh Eid Al Mansouri, Director of Dubai Courts, Major General Khamis Mattar Al Mazeina, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, and other officials were present.
